In honour of Black History Month, Halton Hills Public Library is offering programs, events, stories, and library collections that celebrate Black heritage, encourage diverse and unique voices, and demonstrate the historical significance and contemporary contributions of Black activists and people, locally and from around the world.

- Halton Hills Lecture Series - Tracing Black Lives in Guelph, 1890-1945
- Reading Blackout - 28 days of books by and about African Americans for Black History Month. Follow us on Facebook to see daily highlights. #ReadingBlackout
- Halton Hills Public Library Equity and Diversity Book Club
- Family Storytimes that will feature books by Black authors and illustrators on HHPL Facebook.
- L'heure du conte - French Story Time for Children featuring books by Black authors.
- Winter Reading Challenge: patrons are encouraged to explore diverse authors, including Black authors.
- Various prominent, local and provincial Black individuals will be featured on HHPL social media throughout the month of February.
