Adult Volunteers at the Library

  • Community Knitting Project: Do you knit or crochet? Donate knitted or crocheted squares (20 cm x 20 cm) to the Halton Hills Public Library Community Knitting Project. Finished squares are assembled into blankets and donated to residents in Halton Hills.
  • Join the Friends of the Halton Hills Public Library and help raise money for the library. To become a member, visit the Friends of the Library page for complete details.
  • Library Care Letter Writing Campaign: Brighten someone’s day, pick up a Library Care Grad and Go Kit from the Acton or Georgetown branches of the library. Take a few minutes to create a positive message, work of art, poem or message of hope. When your message is finished, drop it back off at the library and we’ll make sure it gets delivered.
  • Volunteer to deliver books to people who cannot come to the library through our Home Library Service. To apply, please complete the Volunteer Application Form.
