Newcomers Program - Welcome home!

Posted On Tuesday October 12, 2021

Hello. Bonjour. Hola. Welcome home. The Town of Halton Hills and the Halton Hills Public Library are happy to announce we have launched a revitalized Newcomer Resources Program.

Whether you’re new to Halton Hills or new to Canada, your local library offers a variety of great resources and services, in various languages, to help you settle into your new home and community. This vibrant community offers you a place to live, connect, thrive, meet, work, and discover endless possibilities.

When you’re out and about in the community, you may find a Welcome to Halton Hills flyer at Gellert Community Centre, Mold-Masters Sportsplex, Acton Arena and Community Centre, or the Town Hall. When you do, take a flyer and present it at the Acton or Georgetown Branch of the Library for your welcome package, or simply visit the Halton Hills Public Library to pick up your welcome package and library card. Discover all the free resources that are available to you and your family!

Halton Hills is a diverse community with many opportunities for anyone of any age and background. Newcomers play a crucial role in every part of our community and in Canada. Your local library provides a welcoming, safe space for your family to connect, read, create, learn, engage, and play. Stop by and experience what our branches can offer. You’ll be amazed and delighted!
