A Message From The Chief Librarian

Posted On Wednesday March 18, 2020

In order to help stop the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), patrons are encouraged to hold onto their borrowed items until HHPL opens again. Or if you wish, items can be dropped off at the book drops on the outside of our branches. Please note: If you drop items off, please allow 2-3 days for the items to be removed from you card.

All late fees will be waived during this time, so there is no need to worry about fines. If you wish to renew items, you may do so online or when the Library opens again.

For items on our holds shelf, patrons may pick those items up when the Library opens again, and patrons will have the usual amount of time to borrow as the time period will start once your items are picked up.

During this time, patrons are encouraged to visit our digital online Library and discover new and interesting things to borrow and experience. Enjoy access to thousands of FREE books, music, movies, audiobooks, ebooks, magazines & activities, all at your fingertips. Join us online on your computer or on all your devices, easily and effortlessly. Your online Library is always open.

We at HHPL are doing the best we can to entertain and engage you as we navigate these uncertain times. We are working to help protect the well-being of our patrons and their families, as well as our staff. Please follow our social media and visit our website for ways to entertain you and your family while you’re at home.
