Come in out of the cold and get warm at HHPL!

Winter is upon us and although it has been a relatively easy one this far, it’s a far cry from the heat of the Canadian summers that we crave so much.

With this in mind, it’s warm and comfy at the Halton Hills Public Library (both Acton and Georgetown). Come by and get toasty warm by the fireplace in our cozy arm chairs. First off, be sure to grab a coffee (library goers rave about it) and then a good read. Whether it’s a book, magazine, audio book, music or movie we encourage you to sit back and enjoy. Perhaps you’d prefer to sign out a laptop and go online while you’re keeping warm by fireplace. Or, sit by the fireplace, take a pair of knitting needles and some yarn (we have both in branch), and knit to your heart's content. If you’re looking for some mental stimulation, sign out a board game and forget about the distractions of life. Be sure to turn on the therapy sunlamp too to boost your mood and energize your spirit!

This is just a sample of what we offer, as there’s something for everyone at the Halton Hills Public Library. It’s the perfect escape from the cold, gray, hectic days of winter. At the Library it’s warm, bright and soothing.
