Curbside Pickup – Your Physical Collection Library Service

Posted On Thursday May 21, 2020

The Halton Hills Public Library knows that your quarantine is much easier with a good book or a Library resource to keep you company. As a result, HHPL is launching Curbside Pickup on Friday, May 22 at both branches!

Our priority is to get items to patrons who had holds ready for pickup when the Library closed in March. These patrons will receive an email letting them know their holds have been processed and will be directed to a form to select a pickup date and time.

Items for pickup will be checked out to patrons and put into paper bags that will be clearly labeled with their full name. Patrons will locate their items in the vestibule at the Church Street entrance of the Georgetown Branch, and the School Lane entrance of the Acton Branch during their chosen 30 minute pickup window. Patrons are asked to please maintain a physical distance of 2-meters from other patrons while picking up materials. Only one person should be in the building vestibule at a time.

Notes: We may experience a high level of demand and this may impact the availability of pickup times. Please be patient, we will get requests processed as quickly as possible.

For the health and safety of our staff and patrons, all returned material will be quarantined for 72 hours before it is checked in and processed.
